Tropical Goth Mag originally started out as a side project of small zines until I realized that there was so much more potential for it to grow and impact others, specifically women/non-gender conforming and queer people in the music industry.
Tropical Goth is for those who are multifaceted, who are more than a label, and who just ARE. Anyone and everyone is welcome here.
My team and the bands/artists that get reviewed (albums, EP's, singles, music videos, etc) will consist of only women/gender diverse people/members of the LGBTQ+ community, however the gallery's, show reviews, and interviews that come from the Tropical Goth Team will consist of any band or artist because it is their work we are showcasing for them.
My goal for Tropical Goth is to amplify the voices of women/non-binary/trans and queer creatives in the music industry whether they're a musician, an artist, or work behind the scenes. Let’s be real, it’s about damn time! It's been completely disheartening to have to fight so hard to be seen and recognized in this industry and my hope is that this publication will give inspiration to keep fighting.
Our voices need to be heard, and here they will be.
